Choosing one’s friends badly – South Africa and China

African National Congress (ANC), China, Russia, South Africa, United States

In October 2015 I published an update to the Heart of Darkness Scenario that I had painted before the 2014 National Election in South Africa. In that update I sketched how the National Socialist ANC government of South Africa has cozied up to China and has become a member of BRICS. In that piece I warned that the US economy was improving while the Chinese Miracle was going the way of all economic miracles, namely down. In simple terms, I warned that the ANC was going to place South Africa on the wrong side of history.

The Globe & Mail is a highly respected Canadian newspaper and is often referred to as the “national  newspaper”. So, it is of some significance when that paper, against the above background, prints a massive centrepiece on the relationship between China and Africa (read “South Africa”).

Iron&SteelThe G&M uses the shutdown of the giant EVRAZ steelworks outside Witbank as its posterboy for the economic malaise that has struck South Africa due to its over-association with China. It reports that some 50,000 jobs in the Iron & Steel industry are in jeopardy. The entire industry is in crisis. It quotes Solidarity as stating that its laid off members are living on “cabbage and pap”.

At the heart of this sits the ANC and its infatuation with anything that is not of the “White Man’s West”. The G&M describes how the ANC sent delegations to Beijing to study the Chinese system. It even drafted plans to to emulate the Chinese “central party school”. It declared that the Chinese Communist Party “should be a guiding lodestar” for the ANC’s policies. The ANC’s admiration of China got completely out of hand when one ANC cabinet minister suggesed the Great Wall of China had been built in just 10 months. Another ANC leading light suggested that China’s “Opposition parties” were far superior to “their” South African counterparts, apparently not realizing that there are no Opposition parties in China. Then again, the ANC never has been a great brains trust. South Africa has explicitly stated that it wants its China relationship to be a deliberate counterweight to Western influence.

The economic reality, however, is turning out rather different from the dream. As the “Chinese Miracle” deflated, Africa’s exports to China fell 38% in 2015. Chinese investment declined 40%. Overall trade between Africa and China is down 18%. Nigeria and Zambia have already sought loans from the IMF. The South African Mining industry has  lost 47,000 jobs since 2012 and is planning on cutting another 32,000.

Jakkie Cilliers, a highly respected security analyst, is quoted by the G&M:

In exchange for membership in the BRICS, South Africa appears to have given China a licence to de-industrialize the country. The South African government misses no opportunity to ‘buy Chinese,’ importing anything from scarves and caps for the African National Congress to cheap consumer goods, which should be made in South Africa.

Feelings may very well be mutual. China’s 20% investment  in Standard Bank is now worth less than half of what it paid in US dollars. From a South African perspective even the regional secretary of NUMSA (the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa) has ventured that the ANC has “made a strategic error in its Chinese partnership“. He comments,

They’re taking our natural resources and creating jobs in China, not South Africa. The relationship benefits China, not us. In fact, we are being economically colonized by China.

Wow! You don’t say!? Is one actually expected to pretend that this was not forseeable? In fact, South Africa itself is the example that proves the rule. Its economy grew at an enormous world beating rate in the 1960s under apartheid. But, that was not sustainable. These miracles never are. It seems Africa’s Black leaders have reduced their own philosophy to a decision as to who they wish to be colonized by. Yet Africa has its own voices that warn about economic matters, such as George Ayyiteyi of Ghana and Dambisa Moyo of Zambia. But, they are not listened to, much as successful Black Americans are more often than not disowned by their fellow Black Americans. Certainly, the devout liberals of the West do not listen either.

The ANC’s all-consuming hatred of all things “White”, including the entire West, is steering South Africa over a cliff. In anticipation of the November 2016 presidential elections in the United States the ANC shall have to reposition the country, or suffer dire consequences.

They can consider themselves warned.

African National Congress (ANC), Great Britain, South Africa, Zimbabwe

Featured_MbekiA new letter by former State President Thabo Mbeki (above) confirms that the Commonwealth Secretary General, Emeka Anyaku, asked the despotic Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe in 1990 to delay his “land restitution” (farm grabbing) plans so as to not frighten white South Africans who were then negotiating with the ANC.

SO, if anyone ever wanted to know, there was no honesty involved. It was always a plan to see to the comprehensive demise of white people in Africa, and Britain’s much vaunted Commonwealth had a direct hand in the subterfuge. Mbeki refers to the farm theft as “needed agrarian reform”.

The whole planet now knows the disastrous consequences in Zimbabwe. Unfortunately the world media illogically thinks the same disaster would somehow work a miracle in South Africa. The disaster has already set in. This author wonders whether Mbeki understands the meaning of the word “agrarian”.

The US will be drawn into the disaster that is South Africa

African National Congress (ANC), Obama, United States

On the page of this Blogsite devoted to the book AmaBhulu, the following words are stated about South Africa from a piece written by this author in 2013,

A nightmare is rapidly unfolding in that country and the United States will inevitably be drawn into it.

In the past 24 hours the corrupt ANC governing party of South Africa has done exactly that. Gwede Mantashe, Secretary-General of the African National Congress, has accused the United States of wanting to implement regime change in South Africa, claiming,

We are aware of the programme that takes young people to the United States for six weeks then bring them back and plant them everywhere in the campuses.

Patrick_Gaspard_(profile)The accusation could not be directed at a “better” man. US Ambassador Patrick Gaspard (above) is an American Black man, born in the Congo of Haitian parents, and long standing Obama man. He moved to the United States with his parents in 1970. He was the National Director of Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Like his master, he is a “Community Organizer”. It would seem that while blood runs thicker than water, community organizing runs thicker than blood in American Democratic Party politics.

It would also seem these credentials have come back to haunt him. In the mind of the ANC, Gaspard is taking young Black South Africans to the US for indoctrination and training in civil unrest with a view to, what Mantashe calls, a Color Revolution. It would seem that 46 young South African Blacks have already been through this mill.

In the most ironic and bizarre of twists, Gaspard has managed to implicate the Obama Administration by responding that Mantashe should be aware of the programme because he (Gaspard) personally invited him (Mantashe) to recommend young ANC leaders for it.

Now, let us stop here for just a minute. Imagine the Chinese ambassador to the US approaching the Secretary-General of Communist Party USA to nominate young leaders in the party for training in Beijing. What would the ordinary American think of that?

This author is less bothered about the incoherent rantings of the ANC, never known for its intellectual depth. However, when a US Ambassador in the Obama Administration admits to approaching a Party Secretary-General of the Soviet trained National Socialist ANC with a view to training its “promising young leaders”, this author has only one thing to say: “I TOLD YOU!”

The Obama Administration and the current Far Left version of the Democratic Party is the ANC of the United States. No wonder the US is looking more and more like South Africa by the day. The only problem is, the ANC has apparently lost the collective plot and now feels threatened by its Far Left American protectors. Perhaps the ANC believes the mayhem caused by students in South Africa over the past six months is due to this project, or, at the very least, they may think they can plausibly blame the US for it.

Perhaps the ANC is so comprehensively rattled by the consequences of its 22 years of gross mismanagement of the country that it actually believes that it is a plausible candidate for American style regime change, with or without the usual obligatory USAF stealth bombers followed by B52s. Whatever their convictions, the ANC will not be acceptable to any US administration after January 2017, and they likely know that.

In 1988, the Soviet Union went defunct and the Castro brothers lost their sponsor. What followed was a most miserable period in Cuba. By end January 2017, the Obama Adminsitration will be defunct, and the ANC will have lost ITS protector that has forgiven it every transgression. To whom will they turn? …. China?
