US Congress does something Useful

—The United States Congress has passed the Elie Wiesel Genocide Prevention Act. While I tend not to get excited about Acts passed by a body as utterly ineffectual and regularly misled as the US Congress, this Act does pique my interest. The Act is named for Holocaust survivor and 1986 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Elie Wiesel (above). It states that the policy of the United States shall be to– (author’s emphases)

(1) regard the prevention of atrocities as in its national interest;

(2) work with partners and allies, including to build their capacity, and enhance the capacity of the United States, to identify, prevent, and respond to the causes of atrocities, including insecurity, mass displacement, violent conflict, and other conditions that may lead to such atrocities; and

(3) pursue a United States Government-wide strategy to identify, prevent, and respond to the risk of atrocities by–

(A) strengthening the diplomatic, risk analysis and monitoring, strategic planning, early warning, and response capacities of the Government;

(B) improving the use of foreign assistance to respond early, effectively, and urgently in order to address the causes of atrocities;

(C) strengthening diplomatic response and the effective use of foreign assistance to support appropriate transitional justice measures, including criminal accountability, for past atrocities;

(D) supporting and strengthening local civil society, including human rights defenders and others working to help prevent and respond to atrocities;

(E) promoting financial transparency and enhancing anti-corruption initiatives as part of addressing causes of conditions that may lead to atrocities; and

(F) employing a variety of unilateral, bilateral, and multilateral means to prevent and respond to atrocities by–

(i) placing a high priority on timely, preventive diplomatic efforts; and
(ii) exercising leadership in promoting international efforts to prevent atrocities.

The Act requires the President of the United States to provide the Committee on Foreign Affairs (and two other committees) with regular reports regarding current efforts to prevent and respond to atrocities, a global assessment of ongoing atrocities,  countries and regions at risk of atrocities, including a description of specific risk factors, at-risk groups, and likely scenarios in which atrocities would occur.

The Rule of Construction of the Act states that nothing in the Act shall be construed as authorizing the use of military force.

Dear President Trump

Sir, may I suggest you immediately set your Central Intelligence Agency to work on reporting on (1) the massive Institutionalised Corruption in South Africa, (2) the associated State Capture, and the (3) terrible Threat of Genocide to the white people in that country due to the perpetrators of the aforementioned corruption and state capture blaming them and setting upon those 4.5 Million White people the 45 Million Black people of the country. I should also like to point out that the ANC government’s efforts at legalizing the stealing of the property of White people is calculated to induce violence against the White minority. In this respect, see point (E) of the Act above.

Zuma – It’s not the man; it’s the hat!

African National Congress (ANC), Corruption, Jacob Zuma, South Africa

— Years ago there was a TV commercial for Cremora Coffee Creamer, in which the man of the house was struggling to find his Cremora. It ends with the man growling,”It’s not inside! It’s on top!“, referring to the Cremora on top of the family refrigerator.

The problem with the tribal polygamist Zulu president, Jacob Zuma, is like the refrigerator in the Cremora commercial. It is not what is inside of him, it is what is on top of him. He is just a traditionalist Zulu who believes in a culture of “hail to the chief”, “what’s yours is now mine”, brazen patronage, gifts to the chief, and all the other cultural things that make Africa a Global Backwater. He simply cannot get his head around why corruption is wrong. He believes it is expected, and if you’re NOT corrupt, you are deemed an idiot not worthy of the position or the respect that comes with being chief. He cannot understand any of this “Corruption stuff”, and he will die not understanding it.

The actual problem is with what’s on top…. of his head. That is an ANC (African National Congress) cap. The man has survived six motions of no confidence in parliament, because the African National Congress Party of Mandela has bailed him out every single time. This is because THEY believe corruption is correct. They have bled the country dry and have pilfered the system of the country to the point where the world at large has finally realised it. Of course, the regular media of the West sees their black faces and immediately thereupon forgive them anything from theft to murder. So, they repeatedly get away with it. Meanwhile, his head is clearly too big for the cap. It kind of “comes with the territory”; welcome to Africa.

However, yesterday the Constitutional Court finally ruled that the Assembly—read “The ANC”—had “failed to hold to account” the president. It gave them a time limit for doing something about it.

It is pretty clear that various folks will be going all out to impeach him, and he should have been impeached and removed years ago. However, I want him to stick around. Every minute his savage tribal mug appears under that hat in the picture is a blow in the interest of civilization. The reason is simple: he is just a symptom, the disease is the ANC. Every minute he can be associated with the ANC is a minute well spent.

So, dear Mr. Zuma, I’d love for you to wear an ANC hat every single day for what remains of your tenure. Unfortunately, the people of South Africa think you are the problem and that the hat is just an adornment. They are terribly wrong. You are just a regular backwater Zulu village chief doing what regular backwater village chiefs do al over Africa. What makes you so odious and destructive is that despicable thing on your head which gave you access to the state coffers. However, since they all think the stink of corruption emanates from you, I’d be ever so happy if you’d remain under that hat for as absolutely long as possible to do maximum possible damage to the ANC.

It is said that a fish rots from the head. However, in South Africa the whole fish has been rotten for decades now. In this particular case, the whole fish has to be destroyed because it is stinking up the whole countryside. And I’d like Zuma around as advertisement for the problem. Two more years of mayhem after twenty-four is a small price to pay for the long-term gain of seeing the ANC rot off its own bone.

The problem with South Africa is not Zuma; it is the ANC.

No Equality before the Law

Corruption, Justice, South Africa

advocate_gerrie_nelIn a shock announcement, the famous South African prosecutor, Advocate Gerrie Nel, has resigned his office in the formal South African Judicial system to join Afriforum in order to prosecute prominent cases more effectively.

The highly respected Advocate Nel states as reason for his shock departure that everyone is clearly not equal before the Law in South Africa. He bases his statement on the failure of the National Prosecuting Authority to pursue certain high-profile cases affecting ANC Government personae. He joins the private organization Afriforum to set up a private prosecuting office, as allowed under the Constitution of South Africa. His first order of business is to relaunch cases the government has refused to pursue on grounds generally considered to be political.

The pugnacious Nel is popularly known as “The Pitbull” for his aggressive prosecution of Olympic Medal Winner Oscar Pistorius, better known as the “Blade Runner” for killing his girlfriend by discharging his gun through a closed bathroom door.

Afriforum is an organization  created to defend the rights of White Afrikaners, a Caucasian Christian nation with the same DNA as Americans. They are deeply discriminated against in South Africa and are deemed by Genocide Watch to be approaching the final stages of genocide. On 14 August 2012 the organization raised the Genocide Threat Level to 6: Preparation. An informal roadside memorial (left) to the thousands of white farmers killed in South Africa since Nelson Mandela came to power in 1994 may be seen on the national road north of Pretoria. Internationally, White South African farmers are the single most threatened group of people not formally at war.

International readers may find it interesting that South Africa is one of only two major countries in the world that employ the Roman-Dutch Legal System, the other being Indonesia, which was a Dutch colony until World War 2 and the foreign headquarters of the old Dutch Empire. Napoleon changed the system in the Netherlands, but it continued in some Dutch colonies, including the Cape of Good Hope. It is also applied in the former British colonies surrounding South Africa, as well as in (Dutch) Gyuana, East Timor, and Sri Lanka.

This is this very legal system that allowed Nelson Mandela to make his famous hours long political speech from the accused bench in 1964 without actually formally testifying. Had he testified, it is generally thought that he would have been found guilty and hanged. Americans would likely see this as something akin to speaking in support of one’s case despite “Taking the Fifth”. It conjures up images of Lois Lerner of the IRS who availed herself of her Fifth Amendment rights and yet made statements in defence. Unlike in the United States, South African Law does not allow for the use of juries, but employs a judge and two “assistants” called assessors. This explains why there was no jury for Oscar Pistorius.

Donald Trump & Hillary’s Snake – 2

Corruption, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton

wyoming_viewA few days ago I published an article  under the above title and wondered when Donald Tump was going to grab the snake by the tail and pull it out of the hole where it is hiding. Last night Sean Hannity of Foxnews did it for him, mentioning the Uranium One deal. Tonight he articulated it a bit further and referred, for example, to the Kazakhstan visit. Trump has been using the word “uranium” in his latest rallies.

All I can do is feel sorry for Americans, given what they are facing. At least three  individuals from three countries, including South Africa, have now e-mailed FoxNews to comment that the USA is starting to look as corrupt as their own countries.  This is in keeping with my own article titled “The US becoming South Africa“.

Dear George, think bigger!

featured_clooneypendergastGeorge Cloony and John Pendergast have created The Sentry, an organization to dismantle the financing of Africa’s deadliest conflicts. At this time they are doing their best to draw attention to the corruption in South Sudan which is used to finance the fighting in that pretend-country.

The situation there is one that we from Africa have seen to the degree that the story is stale beyond words. George seems not to comprehend that corruption is an integral part of traditional indigenous African society. He brings “White Man Thinking” to the table. It is simply not “Plug and Play” in the system that is Africa.

The indigenous Black African population of the continent numbers around 1 Billion. No one is going to change the way they think after thousands of years of doing things the way they do them. To George and myself it is corruption. To the 1 Billion Africans it is the way life is conducted and they don’t want a “Stupid Evil Colonialist White Man” to tell them any differently, no matter how right (or famous) he is.

If he really wishes to tackle this matter, he would start with the single greatest corruption racket on the planet at this time where there still IS a modicum of Western infrastructure. He could just read the newspapers from South Africa and then send his ex-FBI investigators there. He’ll find very big targets like maggots on a carcass in that country, and, if he could draw attention to THAT disaster, he would be saving one of the major countries of the planet. This would have greater impact than focusing on an irrelevant backwater, whose next-door neighbour (The Central African Republic) was previously run by a reported cannibal, Jean-Bédel Bokassa (go ahead, read it), who named himself Emperor and sat on a gold-plated throne (below). He stole his country dry and fed his opposition to the palace crocodiles. The South Sudan is no different. This stuff comes with the territory.

featured_bokassa

In the interview with Foxnews (see trailer), which aired today, George rightly says that these people cannot be shamed, but they can be cut off from the money system of the world, which they abuse to squirrel away the stolen riches. But, instead of fiddling around in the backward South Sudan, he should target the corrupt heap that would produce the biggest bang for the buck, so to speak: Jacobs Zuma (below) and his ANC Party in South Africa.

Zuma_Marriage_Dance

Zuma has already said that the ANC has squirreled away enough money to keep themselves in power “until Jesus comes back”.

SO, in a nutshell, THINK BIGGER, George! You can do it!

The Globe and Mail, a leading newspaper in Canada, is today running the article below on the subject of the Gupta brothers and their attempts to execute what is in effect a coup in South Africa by corrupting the ANC government. Given the nature of the ANC, that would not have been much of a challenge. A government that (1) passes acts like the BEE Act [See Chapter 29; p.549 of AmaBhulu] and that (2) protects its president, Jacob Zuma, against literally hundreds charges of corruption cannot be morally salvaged. Zuma is shown below with one of his several wives and the Obama couple.

Obama-Zuma

Instead of “coup d’ etat”, the term “state capture” was used by parties in the article. I do not see how that changes the concept. If anything, it is more emphatic.

Click here for the Globe and Mail article

Americans would do well to think twice about having dealings with a government that is so easily corrupted. It speaks to a lack of any moral fibre and will come to bite those who deal with them, and most likely they will be bitten in the legal posterity. You have hereby been warned.

The Guptas (below), for their part, seem to have realized the scope of the issue, because they were reported to have fled the country six weeks ago by departing from Lanseria, an airport west of Pretoria with no Customs & Immigration control. While the reports are being denied, the details of the flight are very specific. The reader can judge for himself from the later article to which I link HERE. Four banks also dropped all their business with the brothers.

Gupta_bros

It is remarkable that the spokesperson would suggest (at minute 4:20) that “in a country where we have had major corruption scandals” they are “singled out” by the banks for punishment. Is he suggesting they ARE INDEED involved in corruption?

Donald Trump, please take note. If you become president, you will have to deal with this situation. It is unavoidable. Your present president prefers to be photographed with the basic core of the problem, Jacob Zuma. You should be thankful Zuma did not put your president in leopard skin.
