— I was born in a crossfire hurricane…

These are the opening words of the lyrics of the iconic 1968 Rolling Stones tune Jumping Jack Flash (Front man Mick Jagger above). Those not familiar with it—and I am sure there must be few in the forgotten corners of the planet—will recognise it by clicking on THIS link. I have personally played it on-stage more times than I care to confess.

I never knew that I was playing the likely future theme song of the investigation into President Trump’s collusion with Russia in cheating Hillary Clinton out of her Ordained Victory… errr… oops…sorry… I meant to say the Report on the Investigation Into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election. I beg forgiveness from all Americans, because anyone forced to watch CNN at an airport over the past well-nigh 30 months would have thought the former was the true title of the investigation.

Enter “James Bond”

Most people seem to think it started with the appointment of Robert Mueller as Special Prosecutor in 2017, but, in fact, this really bad B-movie spy story started in 2016, long before the election and as the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s server conduct came to a close. It started with an FBI investigation named Crossfire Hurricane.

I think the FBI top bunch had in mind something more like the James Bond theme, but, in their urge to exonerate Hillary Clinton and implicate the future president, they seemed to forget that Trump might win. In the end, when they failed, they put into effect Plan B, which was to destroy the presidency of the newly elected Donald Trump. For this they had to have a Special Prosecutor. And the rest is now history.

But, wait, the James Bond theme tune may yet be relevant, because it turns out Hillary’s team paid for a salacious report, composed of complete rubbish, and put together by…. wait for it…. a British ex-spy with Russian contacts. He was Christopher Steele (below).

I guess I’m giving away my age with THIS theme tune. This has yet to be investigated for criminal conduct. It seemed much more important to the US Justice Department and FBI to investigate the properly elected President.

Well, after two years of putting North America through hell, during which time CNN turned themselves into the “Bile & Vomit Channel”, being thoroughly incapable of disguising even the hate in their faces, we have the answer:

THERE WAS NO COLLUSION BETWEEN THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN AND RUSSIA.

But this is where it becomes important to read once more the actual title of the Mueller investigation: Report on the Investigation Into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election. So, it was not supposed to be an investigation into whether Donald Trump is a Russian spy, as CNN would have us believe. But they were not alone. MSNBC also harped on this, and the fired Deputy-Chief of the FBI mouthed off incessantly on the subject. But, by then, he had already discredited himself as a witness, as explained by none other than Mueller.

So, where are we today?

The investigation has run its course, it has expired, and it has delivered nothing of note, except to show up various Democrat politicians as repeat liars. As to CNN, there is little that needs to be said. All intelligent people I know have deserted that channel. President Trump stands vindicated. Mueller could not find evidence sufficient to accuse the president of obstruction of justice, let alone indict him. He has left some breadcrumbs for the Democrats to keep sidetracking themselves with. The whole thing has been a thinly disguised effort to discredit the Trump presidency against the backdrop of his opponent securing resources from Russia for her campaign. Guess where the REAL collusion is. The Democrats, who control the House of Representatives, can certainly attempt to use the report to try to impeach Pres. Trump based on information insufficient to charge him with obstruction, but the Republicans who control Senate will not back that effort. Impeachment is not a legal process; it is a political process. I believe all Republicans are hoping the Democrats will try, because it will distract them and most certainly will cost them the next election. It backfired on the Republicans when they tried it with Clinton. It will backfire on the Democrats.

What do the Stones tell us about this?

So what is the state of the fictitious person who was born in the crossfire hurricane? Well, we can ask lead singer of the Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger:

I was drowned, I was washed up and left for dead.
I fell down to my feet and I saw they bled

How immensely appropriate! Indeed, the collusion investigation is dead. To the extent that this investigation still has any feet, they are certainly bleeding.

Who is Charlie?

Of course, I’m wondering whether ex-FBI chief James Comey styles himself in the role of frontman Mick Jagger, working up the crowd of 1,500,000 people on Copacabana Beach in the opening link. Comey has tried to work up 150 million people. But the most important question is, who is in the role of Charlie Watts, the drummer. He is the one providing the background beat of the group; the one who sets the timing – the man WHO CONTROLLED this entire edifice of lies and collusion deception. Attorney-General  William Barr now has to find “Charlie”.

Only crumbs remain

The Democratic Party people appear to be on their hands and knees scurrying around like cockroaches when the lights go on, looking for breadcrumbs from the report that will allow them to delude themselves further. Indeed the lyrics of the song say:

I frowned at the crumbs of a crust of bread.

What they really should worry about, is the first line of the last verse:

I was crowned with a spike right through my head.

Do I need to remind the reader that it was not I who decided to launch an investigation into a US presidential candidate using already discredited Russian information and call it Crossfire Hurricane.  I just comment on this stuff because (1) I know the song ; (2) I know that Communist places love putting the word “Democratic” in their name to pretend to be something they are not; and (3) President Trump is the first international leader that has realised that something is wrong in South Africa. So, he gets my support.

As to the US Democrats, after this, they should never ever again attempt to lecture me on Democracy, because they clearly cannot handle it. Perhaps they should rename themselves. Oh wait, daddy never taught them how to lose like a man.

Anyway, I never really was a Stones fan.

Trump, the Media, and the Cambridge Four

The Cambridge Four.

— Starting in the 1930s, a club of (at least) four devout British Communists from Cambridge University (below) managed to worm themselves into MI6, the security woodwork of the United States, and even into the Royal family. From here they undermined the security of the West with impunity for decades. They leaked the plans of the US Nuclear effort to the Soviets. They were Kim Philby, Guy Burgess, Donald Maclean, and Anthony Blunt. Blunt was a third cousin of the British Queen Mother and took tea with her. Of the four, three eventually fled to the U.S.S.R. Burgess an Maclean fled in 1951; Philby in 1963.

Blunt (below) secretly confessed in 1964 in exchange for immunity. This was revealed more than a decade later by Maggie Thatcher. Philby later explained that they got away with it because they were “members of the British Elite”.

The Liberal Elite

First Question: Where have you recently heard the word “Elite”? could it be in conjunction with the word “Liberal” in the United States. Phliby, Burgess, Blunt, and Maclean were the “Liberals” of their day. They were “untouchable” by the British Law of the day because of being supposedly “Elite”. Why does that smell just like what I see in the United States today with the Clintons being apparently above the law?

Philby was given the Order of Lenin by the U.S.S.R.  That is rather poetic, because Lenin was a newspaperman, and it brings me to the Second Question:

The Media

If these British Communists could stay hidden and operational as Soviet spies for several decades wreaking so much havoc, by what failure of intellect are folks trying to convince me that the Western Media has not been similarly penetrated? I can think of no better way to damage the West today. Witness the Trump Derangement Syndrome that has befallen the Left and the Media in the United States. Who is actually calling the shots in this? And who is actually benefiting? I ask, because it is not the ordinary decent people of the United States.

Again the ordinary folks have to trudge up the treadmill of life while these elite types float effortlessly around the top and undermine the country. In Britain they tended to have their posh hot potato accents and clubs. In the United States they speak all the right words to enthrall the liberals of the two Coasts and little girlies who think that the greatest challenge in life is how to get free birth control pills.

Paranoia or Experience?

I make these points because, way back in the 1970s the South African Government used to harp on Soviet infiltration. We all thought they were a little paranoid and were seeking a Russian spy behind every Karoo bush. They were particularly intense about the Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow, which they maintained was a training operation for KGB agents.

I should point out that one of the key conspiracies in South Africa indeed involved a farm just west of Victoria West in the desert Karoo, but folks don’t seem to remember key facts from history. That would be like looking for a Soviet spy at a farm outside Caliente in desert Nevada (below- Yes, I took the picture in 1980 on a road trip from Salt Lake City to Yosemite).

Then, one day in the early 1990s, just before the Yeltsin government took over in Russia, we had a formal visitor who was a member of the Post-Soviet Russian parliament. I had to attend to him for the morning up to the lunch. He could speak not a word of English and came with the obligatory interpreter. All through the morning’s proceedings the interpreter and I focused on each other.

When we got close to the formal lunch, I thought it fit to announce diplomatically that I appreciated that Russia was going through a torrid time, but that I wished them every good fortune. I also said that I see the Russian people as one of the key nations of  Western Civilization, and that I believe they would get back on their feet. And then I added in Afrikaans, “After all… ‘n Boer maak ‘n plan” (Eng: A farmer makes a plan”). This is a well known Afrikaans proverb, suggesting “You’ll figure it out”.

My local colleague kicked me in the leg and told me under his breath to “say it in English!”. I did nothing of the sort. I just stared straight at the intepreter, who looked a little like a younger, pinker, and more blonde David Duchovny (The X-files TV series – below). He held his pose for three seconds more, and then folded spectacularly. He went blood red from the collar upward. Then he turned to his boss and translated. The boss burst out laughing and wagged his finger at me.

So I asked the young red-faced interpretor where he had learnt Afrikaans. Came the answer: “Patrice Lumumba University. I studied Dutch and majored in Afrikaans.” So the “paranoid” Old South Africa government had been right all along.

Paranoia? Really? Or is it just experience of the real world.

So, sure, no-no-no-no….not a single suspect in the US media. [End sarcasm]

Really? Are you kidding me? And they want to take on Donald Trump who has been working in the glare of the limelight all his life? This brings me to my thought for the day:

Always remember, Lenin was a newspaperman.

As a man born in South Africa who saw his country fed to the wolves by Democrat White Houses and Congresses in the USA, I openly state my overwhelming joy at the massive win of the Republicans over the Democrats in the 8 November 2016 election. I certainly predicted the Trump win and explained why it would be so, but even I did not anticipate just how dramatic the victory would be.

How did I first realize the depth of the resentment of Americans against their ruler? Easy! To explain, I have to go back to middle 2015 on a river boat on the Rhine in Germany (below – Miltenberg with our boat moored).

The vast majority of passengers are Americans, with a small contingent of Canadians and even smaller contingent of Australians. When one counts the South African expatriates among the Australians and Canadians, they make up the third largest group on the boat. Admittedly this is not a representative sample of the United States population. US folks struggling with their jobs and mortgages do not typically get onto fancy river boats in Europe. Then again, like us, many had saved like crazy in order to be able to do it once in their lives.

miltenberg_viewFor two weeks, every single meal with guests we have not met before starts as follows:
“Where are you from?”…. “Canada!”
“Your accent is not Canadian!”…. “No! It’s South African. We were born there“.
“What do you think of Obama?”……. “(Sigh)“.
I swear, that’s exactly how it went. Every single time. It drove us nuts.

As I’m focusing on my dinner, the lady next to me leans over and whispers conspiratorially in my ear, “He hates America!” She is talking about President Barack Obama.”I don’t care where he was born; he’s not really an American, you know!”

I’m not sure how exactly to respond, but I’m not going to get drawn. She’s a pig-farmer from Virginia and has no qualms about expressing her opinions. Some others are a tad more circumspect, but the resentment against their president is palpable. Actually, it is intense beyond anything I have ever seen. These people hate what he has done to their country and they are at their wits’ end with him.

When the meal finishes and we walk back to our stateroom, I stop to speak to a Democrat from New Hampshire, the “Granite State” and the first to vote in election primaries. He’s a very likable gentleman and we have already had a number of interesting conversations. I tell him,”You know, your countrymen seem ready to hang your president from the yardarm. To be honest, I don’t like the man, but this is so intense that I feel almost obliged to defend him.”

My friend stops dead on the stairs, turns to me, bends down to whisper in my ear [he is very tall], and says:

You do that and they’ll string you up as well.

Now add to the above endless e-mails from friends in the United States who made their unhappiness vividly clear. However, perhaps one had to specifically NOT be an American to see this coming.

Fast forward to 8 November 2016 – The Red Flood

Not only did Trump obliterate the Democrats’ so-called “Blue Wall” stretching solidly from Virginia on the East Coast to Minnesota on the Canadian border, but he has pretty much redefined the Democrats as a regional party with a caucus now having one third of its members from only three coastal states, being Massachusetts, New York, and California.

When one looks at the presidential race only, one finds that the country has been turned into a sea of Republican red counties (click on the map below), with blue Democrat sections in the East (The “Bicycle State” of Vermont, Massachusetts, urban New England, the Greater New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Baltimore) and on the West Coast, a smattering of counties in the so-called “Black Belt” of the Old “Plantation” South, plus the extended “Mexican” Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Add to this a few odd blue patches in the interior, typically around bigger cities such as Chicago and Detroit with their large Black populations, as well as Madison and Minneapolis. One oddity is Colorado, which is flirting with turning itself into California, mostly based on students. But, look at New York outside the City. It is largely blood-red. That is precisely in keeping with the regular folks I met in “Upstate New York” in the past.

The big blue patch in northern Minnesota is historically the Socialist Corner of the USA, particularly Cook county. No Republican has won in next door St Louis county (the largest) since 1928. The best performance to date has been Trump with 40%. That took some doing.

2016_us-pres_elect_countybDo not be fooled by the large blue patches in the southwest of the country. Those counties are massive in size and most of the Democrats are confined to large towns. In Arizona, the blue patch in the south is Pima county with its one third Hispanic population and the blue patches in the north are Coconino county with its one third American Indian population (four different nations) and Apache county in the east with a 73% Indian population. The influence of the Democrat-voting Indian population may be seen on the map below, in which counties with majority Indian populations are shown in red and those with a plurality Indian population are orange. For example, in Montana, the big blue patch in the south of the map above is Big Horn county with its majority Crow Nation population, in red below.

usa_indianKeep in mind, the retirement havens of New Mexico and Arizona have lots of liberal (read “Democrat”) ex-New Yorkers seeking heat, much like one sees with the blue patch at the bottom of Florida in and around Miami, which might as well be called New York South. A plurality of the so-called “Hispanics” in Florida are expatriate Cubans—first and second generation—who have no love for Leftists. Senator Marco Rubio, a leading Republican, is very representative of this community. The further north one goes in Florida, the more classic “Southern” it becomes.

The bigger blue patch in Nevada is Las Vegas. The bigger patches in Oregon are the Far Left Liberal Portland and Eugene, both seen as Loony Left “student” enclaves. I’ve been there, and, YES, this is the world of “Safe Spaces” and the like. Yet, it was along the Oregon coast that I found an angry old-timer earlier in 2016, expounding on the virtues of Hitler to other folks in a restaurant.

The point is, with the exception of Elitist Vermont, the Kennedy’s Massachusetts, Rich Man’s Connecticut, and parts of Crazy California, the Republicans have almost completely swept non-Mexican non-Indian Rural America.

Democrats have a habit of referring to the centre of the United States as “Fly-over country”. That condescension has cost them the election, because they have pretty much been booted out of “Fly-over country”. They have been so busy making special cases out of the 12% Black population, 11-odd million illegal Mexican immigrants, Muslims, and unmarried women, mostly congregated in the cities, that they have completely forgotten the vast body of White people of the country. If anything, they have acted as the enemy of ordinary White folks in the country, and those folks had had enough. The Democrats also did not seem to care about those ordinary decent non-flag burning Black folks who actually work for a living. They branded conservative Black people traitors and “Uncle Toms”.

To get some idea of the feelings of regular Americans from, say, Montana, listen to Dirk Benedict of A-team fame decribe how he, born and raised in that state, has experienced America in recent times and his reaction to the Trump win. See also THIS from the same Greg Gutfeld Show, related to the student reaction to the Trump win. If you don’t like the folks from “Cowboy” Montana after those two clips, then you probably need therapy.

November 8, 2016 – a poetic view

On the day of the election, in my poetic view, the ordinary working Americans who had built the country came to vote….

They came from the mountains, they came from the forests, and they came from their farms, their haystacks, their cornfields, and their workshops. They came on foot and with their tractors, their flatbed trucks; their night wagons if they had to. They drove, they walked, they crawled. They struggled along with their canes, their walkers, and their crutches. But they came. And they came in their millions from the forgotten rural America and from its broken and crumbling factorylands and its forcibly closed mines. And they came for the man who had finally heard their call about their country and their predicament. And they came to teach Obama, Hillary, and the Democrats a lesson. They came to deliver the loudest political message ever.

To quote Michael Moore (below), they came to deliver the “biggest FU in human history“. He had warned about exactly this. In fact, Bill Clinton had warned, but he was laughed at. His wife was too busy clinging politically to Obama.

The Media

The above was also reflected in the Media. Any viewer of the unfortunate American version of CNN could see that the channel was ganging up on White folks and the Police. I have openly accused them of being the NAACP channel and the Voice of Black Lives Matter. The ordinary white “working stiffs” got zero attention, other than to be called “stupid” and “racist”. Yet, they were the real majority and they were going to teach the Democrats a lesson, and teach them they did.

These good folks also caused CNN to embarrass itself in public, when Hillary conceded the race before CNN could bring themselves to call the election for Trump. It was very funny watching host Jake Tapper’s face “melt” around his skull in the process. While John King was animatedly explaining that there were still votes to count somewhere on his Magic Wall, his separated wife Dana Bash, sitting a few feet away, announced with a shocked face (see below) that Hillary had conceded. Bash emitted the words as though she was announcing a death in the family. King’s own face looked like concrete that had run.

call_election While I really like John King, I openly confess I enjoyed it tremendously. I have had to wait years and years to see “America stick it to CNN.” The same election had shown up CNN as a conniving entity that had secretly slipped Hillary some debate questions. It obviously should not be allowed to host any future Presidential debates.

matthewsOn MSNBC, known popularly as “The Obama Tribute Channel”, Chris Matthews (left), who I have always called “The Daily Trumpet”, had a meltdown of his own, desperately fighting back tears. I would suggest this is what comes from liberal people practicing groupthink for most of their lifetimes. It has now been decades that they have shut up people who do not agree with them, and they have created a generation of liberal young people who hide in Safe Spaces when someone actually challenges their views. How utterly pathetic. For eight years they have behaved like an Obama Tribute Council. As I have stated elsewhere, they have drunk their own Kool-Aid and now have the runs. They have descended to believing their own BS. FoxNews stood quite alone in at least attempting to be objective. The rest did not even vaguely try.

There is no forgiveness for that phenomenon. The US Formal Media, the so-called American Fourth Estate, is a massive collective failure and a danger to the nation. It is not doing its job when a Democrat is in the White House, and it has finally caught up with them. The New York Times published a sort of Mea Culpa two days ago, but by this morning they were back to their bias. There is no such thing as fixing a lack of character or integrity.

The Result

When one checks the results by county one finds that, of the almost 700 counties that Obama won twice, Trump has converted 209—about 30%—to Republican. Of those that voted for the Republican Romney before, Clinton won only six. This is a staggering result.

An important result that has attracted less attention, is that Republicans have not only retained the Senate and the House of Representatives, but they have 36 of 50 state governorships. Of those 36 states they control both the governorship and the legislatures of 24 states. The Democrats can say that of only 6 states. Of the total of 99 different state legislative chambers in the various states, the Republicans control 69.

For this, the Democrats can thank Barack Obama, a man who preferred to have nothing to do with the Senate and House of Representatives and, like a medieval king, elected instead to rule by edict in order to force on a nation all that it disliked. The proof is in the blood-red Republican map of the United States. Instead of distancing herself from Obama, Clinton attempted to “extend his reign”. That was the real fundamental flaw. Her unsuitability as candidate was secondary; Trump, in his own way, was equally personally flawed as candidate. America was not buying the Obama line anymore. It had had quite enough, as pointed out before.

For the rest of the world

Perhaps now we can all expect a more rational and robust US Foreign Policy that actually has the interests of the West at heart. I never once had the impression that it was of any concern to Obama. He seemed more concerned with supporting Orange Revolutions left right and centre, until it reared up and bit him when the “Arab Spring” morphed into Fanatical Muslim Fundamentalism and ISIS. How that was not predictable staggers the intellect.

Trump is a pragmatist – no more spreading of Democracy to those who cannot handle it or abuse it to spread terrorism. And that is why I welcome his advent.

Hillary never understood

So, Donald Trump (below) has won the US presidency. Not just that, but riding on his coat tails, the Republicans retained both the House and Senate. They are now in an immensely powerful position.

I now refer readers to my post of May in which I concluded with: “Ordinary adult American men are mad as hell at what Barack Obama has done with their country, there are awfully many of them, and they talk to their wives.” :

  1. The ladies did NOT turn out for Hillary as all predicted, non-college educated ladies turning out 2:1 in favour of Trump; and
  2. White males voted in overwhelming numbers for Trump (63% vs 31%), and amazingly
  3. Trump beat Clinton among white women 53% percent to 43%…. in line with what I warned above.

My words were all based on the fact that I had never seen ordinary working American males as angry in my entire life. It was also clear to me that Hillary never understood the battle she was in; she had the plan of the battlefield completely wrong. She was comprehensively outflanked—possibly blindsided in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michingan—as a consequence. If John Podesta, her campaign manager, had read my article above, their campaign would have looked completely different. He would have realised her weakness in the Rust Belt. Trump has now completely redesigned the political map of the USA, and, in fact, the Republican Party.

The Real America truly spoke loudly for the first time in my life.

I should like to believe that Donald Trump will make the best president the United States has ever had, but that is a very tall order. He faces enormous challenges, but it is time for the US to stop emasculating itself. This is a time for leaders among men, not a time to “break the glass ceiling”. Americans can always do that later when they have restored their country. Right now they need to build business and jobs and restore their position in the world. It will take an enormous effort to fix the damage Obama has done to a once proud nation. One American friend told me in mid 2015, “Obama hates America”.

America behaved stupidly in 2008 when, faced with the greatest economic calamity since the Great Depression, they elected to overdose on Social Engineering by electing Obama in a fit of liberal guilt about slavery. They should have nominated and elected a solid businessman to build the economy. The price tag for that infantile self-indulgence has been absolutely staggering. It destroyed their international standing and doubled their national debt. Obama added more to the national debt than all US presidents in history together.

Let us hope this gives us back the United States that won WWII, a leader among countries and an inspiration for us all rather than the pathetic and frustrating embarrassment of the past 8 years. As a man who lost his once proud Western Christian country, South Africa, to the Communist terrorist forces supported by Bill and Hillary Clinton and the liberal people around them, I confess I rejoice in this event.

America, I Beg you Listen

On 4 July 1776 there was laid before the Congress of the United States of America the now famous Declaration of Independence, drafted by Thomas Jefferson (below – click to see whole document). It remains to my mind, beyond the Bible and its Judeo-Christian Principles, the single most profound document underpinning the principles of Western Civilization as we understand it today. I give credit to my mentor in the 1970s for making me aware of its significance. He was and still is the very embodiment of the Good American, the perfect ambassador for his country. And, yes, he is a Democrat who voted for Reagan.

featured_declarationIt seems to me only right that on this night before a momentous decision that will affect the Western World for the next several decades I should quote to Americans as a nation the preamble of this key document of the founding of their nation. I do this because I believe them to be in serious need of being reminded of why they exist as a country.

We hold these truths to be self-evident,

Dear America,

As someone who cannot vote for a president of your country, but who lost the Western Christian country of his father in 1994 because you voted for Bill Clinton in 1992, and who had to watch a convicted criminal who presided over the murder of several of my countrymen be welcomed by Black Churches in your country under Barack Obama, I ask you to think carefully about what you are about to do.

There was a time when America was the unquestioned Leader of the West. Your people and your country had earned that respect the hard way in WWII. My family fought on your side in that war. My father-in-law protected your troops from the air in that war. The day after the 9/11 attacks an Arab observer said, “We shall now see whether the United States is a Great Power or only a Superpower“. You are now a Superpower; sort of. Your leadership is being rejected by most countries you have involved yourselves in since 1992. Your friends no longer trust you. You cannot be relied upon. Your enemies do not respect you. Some openly mock you. You can directly thank Bill Clinton and Barack Obama for that.

I care deeply about what happens in the United States, because the rest of us flutter in the wind behind your country’s motion. I care even more deeply about the fate of the Western World, of which you still consider yourself the leader. I, for one, believe your government has become “destructive of these ends”, possibly because the powers vested in or assumed by your president have finally allowed such a development. I therefore call upon you to read the above words one more time and ask yourself whether you are voting for the right person or party.

May God help you…… and the rest of us Westerners who have to sail in your wake.

wyoming_viewA few days ago I published an article  under the above title and wondered when Donald Tump was going to grab the snake by the tail and pull it out of the hole where it is hiding. Last night Sean Hannity of Foxnews did it for him, mentioning the Uranium One deal. Tonight he articulated it a bit further and referred, for example, to the Kazakhstan visit. Trump has been using the word “uranium” in his latest rallies.

All I can do is feel sorry for Americans, given what they are facing. At least three  individuals from three countries, including South Africa, have now e-mailed FoxNews to comment that the USA is starting to look as corrupt as their own countries.  This is in keeping with my own article titled “The US becoming South Africa“.

In the year 2000, in the middle of the “Hanging Chad” disaster in Florida, I was in a car with three New York attorneys, two Democrats and one Republican. Obviously the nightmare between George “Dubya” Bush and Al “Internet” Gore was the subject of discussion. When a lull came in the raucous debate, I told them that the only institution that could settle this situation was the US Supreme Court, because no other  mechanism or institution in the country had proper authority in the matter.  They laughed at me.

On 9 December 2000 the US Supreme Court duly halted the Florida recount, thereby giving the US Presidency to George Bush. I received a phone call from the three attorneys together, and they told me that  “We’ll be sure to check with you next time the US is in a Constitutional crisis”.

Today is just on sixteen years later, and I am hereby giving the United States fair warning that it is headed for another constitutional crisis. I am a student of History, South Africa, and the United States. For the largest part of the Obama term, the US has been headed in the direction of South Africa, which is now flirting with Failed State/Banana Republic status with a corrupt president, Jacob Zuma, and a government with near zero regard for the law.

The events around Hillary Clinton over the past few months should be of concern to every thinking American. As of 1pm Eastern Standard Time today, the investigation of Clinton’s e-mail scandal has been reopened by the FBI. The same FBI is already under severe  criticism for the highly suspect investigation earlier conducted into Hillary’s Server Mess. On the basis of that investigation FBI Director Comey essentially declared Hillary (below) to be as guilty as all sin, but that he would not recommend prosecuting her. Read THIS well laid out explanation of the situation.

featured_hillary2That illogical and self-contradictory announcement destroyed the faith of thinking people in the FBI. In faraway South Africa, some years before, the Parliament controlled by the ANC Party voted to shut down the South African equivalent of the FBI; this because most of those members were under investigation by said “FBI”. This present author does not see much difference between the two situations. When one adds secret meetings between Hillary’s husband and the boss of the FBI director shortly before, then the whole thing stinks just as badly as in South Africa. It would seem the United States is hell-bent on becoming an African Banana Republic. So, if the United States wishes to avoid rotting itself into the same state as South Africa,  very clear action needs to be taken here. Let me explain:

The FBI, having messed up the earlier investigation and waived indictment of Hillary, is in a tizzy, trying to rescue its tarnished image as the foremost investigative body on earth. Many good FBI investigators are profoundly upset at their boss Comey’s self-contradictory July announcement.  On top of this, it has become clear that the FBI man who led the investigation is married to a lady who recieved a mountain of money from a group for whom Hillary had raised funding. It has also been revealed that various parties around Hillary had received FBI promises to not prosecute them in return for cooperation. All these procedural oddities have angered the Republican Party with good reason. This must have played a role in Comey (below) now treading super-carefully.

featured_comeyBUT, if, after having dented Hillary’s campaign eleven days before the election, the FBI does NOT indict her, then, if she loses the election, half the nation will cry foul, accuse the FBI of sinking her campaign, and the FBI will never recover its apolitical status. All respect for the FBI’s parent, the Justice Department, will die along with this. Therewith the Rule of Law in the US will be called into question. This is serious stuff, and it will affect the rest of the world, because constitutional instability in the US is bad for the planet.

There is now only one way forward, and that is for the Justice Department to do what it should have done before Hillary tried to corrupt the FBI, namely appoint a Special Prosecutor as for Nixon in the 1970s and/or a Grand Jury. Ideally that Special Prosecutor would be approved by the present Congress. That is the only solution that can cross right through the election without damaging the core institutions of the nation itself. The problem here plainly arose because Comey took upon himself the role of a Grand Jury in July. Any reasonable human being would find it strange that a Grand Jury was instituted to decide whether officer Darren Wilson should be prosecuted in the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, but no Grand Jury (or Special Independent Prosecutor) was needed to decide on Hillary’s alleged transgressions.

Despite the above, the US may still face the horror of having its new president bundled from office before her seat in the White House is even hot. But that is better than the mayhem that would result from the “Hillary not indicted but loses election” disaster.

Of course, what would have been infinitely better, would have been for the Democratic Party to have NOT nominated a candidate with such a long history of suspect conduct. There is not a waking American that can tell me that he or she did not know there was a problem. I know, because many Democrats told me so. One Democrat told me “I’d as soon slit my own wrist as vote for that woman.”

Maybe it is true that Donald Trump is rubbing his hands together gleefully, but there truly are matters of greater import than the selection of the president, and the faith of the nation in the Rule of Law is such a matter.

Many years ago, when I was 12 years old, I spent six weeks with my cousin in Colesberg in the dry interior of South Africa. One day, we went hunting for lizards on the rocky hill behind the Dutch Reformed church. Soon enough I saw the tail of a suspect disappear under a rock. I rushed forward and grabbed the little guy by the tail. I dug after it while holding the tail. And that is when it doubled back over my arm from under the rock in the form of a snake. I had a snake by the tail. Sometimes little lizards can turn into very big snakes indeed.

You ask what that story has to do with the unmarked dirt road turnoff in the middle of nowhere above? It looks much like the dry interior of South Africa. Well, keep reading, and all will become clear, and it will get to Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, the US Presidential election, and Vladimir Putin.

Hillary and the Snake

The story about the snake came to mind again after the US Vice-Presidential debate on 4 October 2016, when young Eric Trump (below), son of Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, was interviewed by three CNN hosts. The three “Clinton National Network” people badgered him about his father’s taxes and possible business interests in Russia.  After roundly rejecting any suggestion that his father had assets or debts in Russia, the young man deftly turned the focus to what I have been waiting for for a very long time. He raised the matter (click on the photo) of Hillary Clinton and the payment of millions received by the Clinton Foundation from businessmen with links to Vladimir Putin. Of course, CNN ignored his question. How else? That is why they are the “Clinton National Network”.

If Donald Trump knows what he is doing, then this little lizard under the rock can turn into a very big snake indeed for Hillary Clinton. Trump just has to present a clear picture of the snake, because he already knows where the rock is that the snake is hiding under. If Americans were to actually understand the picture, they would be outraged against the infamous “Clinton Machine” and its abuse of its influence in Washington. One might well ask whether the influence of a future US Presidency has been put up for sale internationally by the Clintons.

The middle of nowhere

The picture below shows a satellite view of a mine at the end of a long dirt road in the area of the opening image of this article. That mine is owned by an organization responsible for nuclear weapons. “So what?“, you ask. Well, that organization is controlled by Vladimir Putin. There is nothing particularly odd about that either, since Russia has many mines. This is fine, until one realizes that the mine is situated some distance off the Black-and-Yellow Road.

OK, so you don’t know where that is. Well, it is not in Russia, nor in South Africa, but in the middle of nowhere southwest of Gillette in Wyoming, near where I took the opening image in 2005. The Yellow and Black Road is an old time highway in United States, now largely forgotten. The operation is known as the Willow Creek Mine and is located on the Christensen Ranch on an unmarked turnoff, just like the one in the picture. The mine is a major uranium source.

Now let us go to South Africa and the Manhattan Project that gave the United States the nuclear bomb.

Uranium One is a uranium mining company with headquarters in Toronto, Canada. It was created  from, among other building blocks, the South African Aflease Gold under Neal J. Froneman (left), who has a Bachelor’s degree from Wits University in Johannesburg. In English, his name is pronounced “Froh – nuh -munn”. His whole career has been in South African mining.

Uranium occurs naturally as a trace metal along with gold in South Africa. This is why the country supplied some of the uranium that was used in the Manhattan Project. South Africa has a long history in uranium production and Aflease also produced uranium.  The company merged with Canadian-listed Southern Cross Resources on 15 September 2005 to create SXR Uranium One with Froneman as CEO.

There is no problem with any of this. Froneman is a mining man with high international standing. Intelligent investor money tends to follow him.

Enter Bill Clinton

In 2007, Froneman’s Uranium One acquired a controlling interest in UrAsia Energy, a company owned by Vancouver based Clinton Foundation donor, Frank Giustra. Canadian mining magnate, Ian Telfer, originally the UrAsia chairman, stayed on as non-executive chairman of Uranium One with Neal Froneman as CEO. Giustra had made his name via his Lion’s Gate Entertainment movie company. One cannot really move around near our home without running into Lion’s Gate operations. Giustra had since sold that venture, and was now interested in mining.

Back in 2005, Bill Clinton and Giustra had jointly visited Almaty in Kazakhstan (below) to meet with president Nursultan Nazarbayev, the leader of that country since 1989. He had originally been the First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic.

In the aftermath of the visit, UrAsia had acquired major uranium holdings in Kazakhstan and a few months later Bill Clinton had been rewarded with a $31.3M donation from Giustra to his Clinton Foundation. Now, in 2007, Uranium One controlled much of the uranium reserves of Kazakhstan and Clinton had in effect “blessed” an oppressive master in president Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan.

Froneman points the way

Uranium One by now had started buying up major tranches of uranium assets in the United States. A report dated 4 June 2007 stated that Uranium One was acquiring or had acquired uranium assets in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Oregon. Neal Froneman announced that his latest acquisition in the United States would,

…create a powerhouse in the United States uranium sector with the potential to become the domestic supplier of choice for US utilities.

Enter Vladimir Putin

A few moths later, in December 2007, Vladimir Putin of Russia signed into law an act of the Russian Parliament by which the old Ministry of Nuclear Engineering and Industry of the USSR was recast as a Russian State Corporation. It was given the name Rosatom. The Ministry already had responsibility for, among other things, Russian nuclear weapons. Most conveniently, it was also responsible for nuclear power generation. It certainly seems to build a lot of reactors (below). Rosatom has 44 under construction, 36 of them outside Russia. (See page 40 of the report in the link)

Exit Froneman

In February 2008, Neal Froneman, an exceptional business leader, left Uranium One to focus on the company Gold One. That operation is funded by “Red” Chinese money and its leadership has a number of mainland China individuals as directors. The ANC government of South Africa, with its multitude of Communist Party members, has since become infatuated with Communist China, seeing it as an example for South Africa. The thought is terrifying, to say the least.

This is what happens when the US ignores consequences in places where it interferes politically, such as Iraq and Libya, and of course South Africa. The country was given on a silver platter to the Communist dominated ANC on Bill Clinton’s watch in 1994, “to the sound of heavenly violins and angel song”. All one had to do was mumble the word “Mandela” and starstruck American Liberals would veritably “swoon”. Now it is a complete mess with a corrupt animist and bigamist president and a tourist industry on the side to woo gullible rich Westerners who do not ask questions.

Hillary Clinton does the “Russian Reset”

In March 2008, immediately after the departure of Froneman, chairman Ian Telfer’s family foundation pledged a donation of $3M to the Clinton Foundation. It seems Telfer and Clinton were “foundationing” together. Is that a word?

Soon after, in June 2008, Vladimir Putin’s Rosatom started negotiating to buy into Uranium One.

clintonlavrovOn January 29, 2009, Hillary Rodham Clinton, wife of US ex-president Bill Clinton, assumed office as the 67th United States Secretary of State. One of her “initiatives” was the so-called “Russian reset”, a doomed attempt to improve relations with Russia. The infantile handing (left) of a physical “reset button” to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has come to symbolize this policy disaster. It bore the English word “Reset”, but the Cyrillic translation on the button was botched and turned out to mean “Overload”.

As the saying goes, “You can’t make up this stuff“. That was about as ignorant as Britain’s Gordon Brown handing Obama, a man with zero slave ancestry, a piece of wood from a 19th century British anti-slaving ship. It is much more likely that Obama’s ancestors were, in fact, slavers themselves.

In June 2009, Rosatom bought 17% of Uranium One. However, this was hardly in keeping with Russia’s appetite for nuclear materials. Rosatom wanted a controlling share in Uranium One. The problem was, Hillary Clinton’s State Department  would have to approve Putin’s uranium mining acquisition dreams.  And Hillary served on the relevant Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.

And this was when the REAL fun started.

Money greases all wheels

Meanwhile, “back at the (Wyoming) ranch”, in August 2009, Uranium One bought Malco, which owned several uranium resources in the Powder River Valley of Wyoming, including the major Willow Creek operation described above. By now Uranium One had command of some 20% of US uranium resources.

According to the New York Times, Uranium One and former UrAsia investors made $8.65 million in donations to the Clinton Foundation between 2008 and 2010. Uranium One investors would stand to profit on a deal with Rosatom.

On 9 June 2010 World Nuclear News announced that Rosatom and Uranium One had signed an agreement that would give Rosatom a 51% controlling share in Uranium One. The agreement was subject to clearance by the US Committee on Foreign Investment; Hillary’s Committee.

A mere ten days later, on 29 June 2010, Bill Clinton received a fee of $500,000 for a speech to Renaissance Capital, a Moscow bank with ties to the Kremlin. According to the Wall Street Journal, Clinton received a personal thank you call from (then) Prime Minister Putin.

In October 2010 Hillary’s Committee on Foreign Investment approved the majority shareholding by Putin’s Rosatom. Canadian Tax records reportedly show that  Telfer gave the Clinton Foundation $2.4 million more from 2009 to 2012. Additional millions in donations were reportedly given around this time by other people with ties to Uranium One.

Somehow the picture above of Bill Clinton meeting with Putin that year seems to sum up the situation perfectly. The man on the left appears to be having fun while the man on the right is sizing him up as a good chess master should.

 The Chess Game

Putin’s final chess move came on 14 January 2013 when World Nuclear News reported that Rosatom planned to acquire the remaining shares of Uranium One and to delist it, contrary to the original arrangement with the US State Department. That meant total control for Putin over the company without the “pesky interference” of any public shareholders. The game was complete. Putin had won….. yet again.

Hillary left office on 1 February, 2013 at the end of Obama’s first term, and Putin now controls one in every five tons of uranium reserves in the United States. Clever, eh? I wonder if Bill Clinton is still laughing.

Now, about that “snake under the rock”…… will Trump use it?

And in South Africa?

Rosatom is angling to build up to ten reactors in South Africa for the country’s president, Jacob Zuma. By now every sentient being in South Africa believes that it is nothing more than yet another scam by Zuma to siphon off 10% of all taxpayer money paid for such reactors and to squirrel that money away in the coffers of his ANC party.

And in Russia?

And, as ordinary South Africans suffer in a country that has been turned into a joke by Zuma, and Americans focus on childish nonsense,  Rosatom head, Sergey Kiriyenko, meets regularly with his boss (below), as shown by none other than the Kremlin website.

This very week Kiriyenko was promoted to the position of First Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of the Federation of Russia.

I wonder whether American voters are getting the picture yet? They seriously need to come to grips with their position in the world, instead of focusing on Donald Trump’s vulgar lockerroom talk from ten years ago.

One cannot but take one’s hat off to Putin. But it would be most helpful if the West had a leader to match his intellect, insight, and ability. I don’t care whether the candidate leader secretly practised loutish locker room talk eleven years ago. As long as he shows respect for the Office the President of the United States, his wife can sort him out if she is worth her salt.

Too brilliant to hear a fact

I have been hoping and praying that the US State department will at some point start putting pressure on the ANC government of South Africa to (i) cease its threatening and harrassment of white people and to (ii) stamp out corruption. However, under Obama, there is no hope of that.

This brings us to the present looming election in the United States and the hope of  a new US president taking the above actions against the ANC. This assumes that a new president will not be corrupt to start with and will respect the rule of law. I happened to be watching Fox News the other day and caught this little gem by Xavier Becerra, House Representative of the Democratic Party and senior House Hispanic Caucus member. He was defending Hillary Clinton in her bid for the White House and clearly was not going to be bothered by a little thing like logic or fact.

The background is the e-mail security issue around Hillary Clinton, who brazenly broke the law by putting top secret State Department information on her hackable private server. To understand just how extensive the problem was, read THIS well presented blogpost by DC Rutledge, who walks the reader through the announcement made by FBI Chief James Comey. Earlier, the whole world heard Comey say in almost so many words, “She’s guilty as all sin and therefore (!!!?) we are not prosecuting her“.

Chris Wallace of Fox News raises the e-mail issue with Becerra in THIS CLIP. He points Becerra to Comey’s own statement that clarifies that IT DOES NOT MATTER whether a document is marked “Secret”. If the information on it is secret, then the document is secret, marked or not marked. PERIOD! Actually, no one who has handled classified information in any advanced country has unclarity in this matter. In fact, Wallace plays the clip of Comey explaining this.

Listen to Becerra’s answer. What comes out of Becerra’s mouth was too much for this author.

I’m absolutely incredulous. First of all, Comey announces that, basically, no matter that Clinton is guilty as sin, she will not be prosecuted like everyone else, including Edward Snowden and Chelsey Manning. One has fled to Russia and the other is in jail. Then comes Becerra and negates the rules that Comey himself states clearly, and he does so within seconds of hearing Comey’s words. What an absolutely vivid demonstration that liberal people are deaf to fact, even when stated in words of one syllable by the head of the FBI. Incredible!

All of this tells me that we can forget about any pressure on the criminal infested ANC government of South Africa if Hillary Clinton should win the White House.

It also proves to me that none of these people have any clue what the security interests of their country are. If they do, then they certainly do not care about it.

The first edition of this article was published HERE, just before Trump won the May 3, 2016 Indiana primary.  In this second edition of the article under a new title, we allow for that development and we map some new events against the background of the original edition.

Over the past 40 years the United States has come full circle from the malaise that beset Jimmy Carter to the present situation around Barack Obama, who appears to be trying to emulate South Africa. Frustrated Americans are reacting with their vote. While a concerned world watches, Donald Trump is confusing all the talking heads, turning polls upside down and terrifying Establishment politicians. However, if they would look at the world through different eyes, they would realize he has turned the election from a Left vs Right struggle into a struggle between Opportunity and Entitlement.Featured_Trump40

The international importance of US Internal Politics

I have been a keen student of the United States for some 40 years. The reasons are simple. Firstly, when the United States gets an economic “cold”, the world gets economic “pneumonia”. Secondly, less powerful countries “sail in the wake” of the United States. They may be completely capsized by even slight course changes on the part of the US.

In my own case, I have studied the US political chessboard to determine the consequences for the country of my birth, South Africa. US Foreign Policy effectively destroyed that country while it was not even a bump in the road to Americans. Logically, they do not have to care, until, of course, those consequences come flying through the air in the form of four fuel laden hijacked airliners in a clear blue September sky. But, the events of 9/11 may be traced back to profoundly flawed US Foreign Policy decisions by the Democratic Party dominated Congress in 1975. It may all may be read in the book AmaBhulu. Jerry Ford warned America at the time and Congress did not listen, and South Africa is now in the Sino-Russian-Iranian camp.

Forty years of US Foreign Policy

Over the forty years of my watch, I have seen the United States internationally emasculate itself in the wake of the Vietnam War. As a result, the Communist Revolution expanded tremendously. It led to me being 50 feet above trees on the Angola-Namibia border in an aircraft avoiding Soviet-made surface-to-air missiles. After all, short-sighted Congressional decisions have consequences.

40yearsI have seen grown American men cry in dismay at the state of their country in 1979 under Jimmy Carter. I have seen their pride and hope restored under Ronald Reagan. I have watched Ronald Reagan win the Cold War and bring down the Berlin Wall. I have watched George Bush senior correctly list a Communist dominated organization as a Terrorist Group, only to have those terrorists foisted as a government on decent South Africans on the watch of Bill Clinton. I have seen George Bush Junior go to war in Iraq as part of the Neo-Conservative agenda, and I have seen Barack Obama yet again emasculate the United States on the world stage.

Eagle_ClawThe US has come full circle and is again in the lamentable state it was under Jimmy Carter around the time of the Iran Hostage Crisis and the failed Mission in the Desert to rescue the hostages (photo above). Those Americans who love and build their country feel that both their country and their pride have been trashed, along with their fortunes, their jobs and their children’s futures. They are more angry than I have ever seen them in my life. Only those who steal from the American Dream seem happy. Jimmy Carter has been consigned to the Twilight Zone of American public life since departing office. However, I have actually had Democrats tell me, “Obama is the best thing that ever happened to Carter“. At the same time, I have Republican friends who now detest their party for being utterly ineffectual and for “selling them out”.

The Political State of the Nation

Against this background, let us look at the United States political arena as the Republican and Democratic Party elders do: as the chessboard of Figure 1 below with just two blocks in a one-dimensional row next to each other. Ever since the departure of Ronald Reagan, the country has divided itself between camps on the “Left” and “Right”. In the United States, the term “Left” typically refers to people who are both Socially and Economically liberal, combining thereby Moral issues, Religious issues, Gender Rights, Green Issues and regular Economic Socialism.

This grouping of issues does not necessarily hold in other countries and it certainly polarizes almost every issue in the US. Few other places would list Libertarianism under “The Right”. So, for example, the “Right” is seen as automatically “Hawkish” and the “left” as “Dovish”, yet Democrats  (the nominal custodians of the “Left”) have taken the US into WWI, WWII, and the wars in Korea, Vietnam and Kosovo. Since the Civil War, vastly larger numbers of men have died fighting wars under Democratic presidents than under Republican Commanders-in-Chief. This Left-Right split has rendered political debate in the United States completely useless. Every individual or media group is forced into one of the two blocks and one side is obliged not to believe a word the other says and they belch bile at each other across the divide.

With the advent of President Obama the country was shoved violently and uncomfortably to the “Left”. The first high level reaction came in 2010 in the form of the Tea Party faction of the Republicans on the “Right”. This group is as rigid in their opposition to Tax & Spend  as Obama is in his insistence on expanding social benefits during the worst recession since the Great Depression. Obama_Kenya_Pres_visit

Over the past seven years, President Obama has divided  Americans, but has united excited Kenyans (above). His non-consultative management style is well-known to people from Africa, such as this present author. It has rendered the US government dysfunctional.  It has obviated Congress and has thereby disenfanchised America. The ordinary man in the street perceives this as a “Useless Congress”. However, Obama has made it so. He now rules over his “kingdom” by decree via so-called Executive Actions, a fancy name for “Ignore the voting public” when the voters have actually given the Congress to the Republicans.

To this author, the United States of 2016 behaves more like an African “basket case” by the day. One would swear it is trying to turn itself into South Africa, a rapidly failing state Obama admires and which thinking people of all races are trying to escape. It ought not to surprise Americans, though. After all, a member of the Obama Administration is the ghost writer of Nelson Mandela’s “autobiography”. Perhaps Americans should study South Africa to understand the sheer disaster toward which they are at present headed. No wonder those hard-pressed Americans who care about their family, their country and its position in the world are insisting on dramatic change in Washington. And this brings us to the heart of the matter and the title of this piece.

Enter Donald Trump

The remaining US presidential candidates prove remarkably difficult to place on the one-dimensional map (See Figure 2). It produces a litany of inconsistencies around Trump and Sanders.

1-DimMapDemocrats will have folks believe Trump is a “far right” testosteronic rabble rouser. Ted Cruz will have you believe that Trump is a “further left than” Hillary Clinton. The Republican Establishment will have you believe that he is so politically toxic that he is not even legitimately on the map. CNN talking heads will tell us “Sanders is to the Right of Clinton on Gun Control“. I suggest the Political Establishment and its Media are unable to see the very map they are functioning on. The confusion should be a clue to all of them that the one-dimensional map is inadequate to the job.

Trump is clearly confounding all the Party apparatchiks, commentators, and CNN talking heads. However, he is not confounding the client, the ordinary working American on the ground. Those much-tried folks are flocking to Trump’s flag in masses and droves. The last die-hard “Collective Bargaining” Unionists and Millennials with their sense of entitlement are flocking to Bernie Sanders. However, it is near impossible to depict these developments on the simple one-dimensional map.

The American Dream vs the American Myth

Donald Trump’s advent has made it clear that the US Political Arena is now a distinct two-dimensional map. The time has come to restore the natural vertical axis of the map of Figure 1 and to stop lumping together disparate views behind either “Left” or “Right”.  The vertical axis has Capitalism and Opportunity increasing upward and Socialism and Entitlement increasing downward, as in Figure 3, which is an adapted variant of the Nolan Chart. We show a simple mapping of the candidates, and describe it in more detail further below. Cruz and Kasich, having withdrawn from the race since the first edition of this article, are shown as faded in the diagram, but their locations on the map are important.

2D-map_heads2Trump’s presence has in effect redefined the election as a struggle between the top and bottom on this new map, instead of between the American Liberals and Conservatives. I would submit that those Americans positioned in the top half of the map are mostly people with a love of country who either have a job, or have lost a job and who may have a family and a house with a mortgage. Some 3.2 Million of those mortgages are still “under water”. This includes some of my own American Democrat friends. They are generally having a hard time making headway in the current economic climate. However, they accept that one works to get ahead in life and they do not expect handouts. They believe in the American Dream and have pride in America and its position in the world. They feel pained by America’s diminished international status and want it restored.

Where the “Left” miscalculates, is in assuming that women do not feel the plunge in American status worldwide. Married women in particular certainly see what is happening to their children and their country and do not like it one little bit. This position is also more ethnically blind than the talking heads are prepared to concede. This region of the map also includes Millennials who have discovered their latest iPhone does not have an App for “Give me a Job” and are trying do something about it, rather than protest as “backpacks with legs”.

The desire of people above the line is for Opportunity and restoration of the status of their country, independent of what they think of Gender Rights, Abortion, Religion, or Global Warming. They may well tell voters below the line “When last did a poor guy give you a job?” and many see Trump as the living embodiment of Success via Opportunity. They tend to be Patriotic in their views. In summary, they believe in the American Dream.

The folks below the horizontal line believe they will never have a proper stab at the American Dream. Some believe themselves inherently disadvantaged in some way or another, possibly on the basis of skin colour or ethnicity. Others among them are Millennials, who consider themselves hard done by. It certainly is true that loan institutions and Universities have got rich off their student loans. These young adults are burdened with staggering debt. One has to have sympathy. Many have dropped out of school and are stuck with the debt without a job. It is worth noting that Millennials have a calibration that consists of the Iraq War, the Mortgage Meltdown and the 2008 election of Obama. They learnt soon after that their immediate futures had been destroyed by Wall Street greed and they now blame rampant Capitalism, having never experienced normal working balanced Capitalism. They never knew the U.S.S.R and never saw the implosion of Communism. They “got their brains” after the Cold War.

The desire of people below the line is for Rights or Entitlement, whether it be citizenship, benefits, handouts, debt relief, or jobs “worthy of their expensive university degree“. They believe the American Dream is a Myth of History and prefer to fight or strike for what they can get from the “System”, which they believe rigged against them. Many Millennials in particular tend to be Internationalist, Global and “University Socialist” in their views.

Mapping the Candidates

As shown in Figure 4 below, Trump has placed himself squarely across the top two blocks of this map and has very openly stated his America First principles and his belief in Opportunity. He is also predicting that he can pull clients (voters) from below the horizontal line. When he gets questions of Liberal versus Conservative nature, he tends to fumble them. That is simply because it is not that important to him. He thinks along the vertical axis of the map, seeing people as either wanting opportunity and pride in their country or wanting handouts. I am not sure he could care less whether they are “Bible thumping” Conservatives or “Raving” Liberals. This is why one hears Ted Cruz  calling him “Liberal” and Clinton calling him “Far Right”. One can see his appeal across the top from the tens of thousands of Democratic Party Primary voters who have re-registered as Republicans. And that support is often coming from gritty “Union Democrat” neighbourhoods where jobs have disappeared, rendering unions impotent, if not completely irrelevant.

US_Political_MapClinton, as a Party Establishment creature, is pitching herself further to the Left than she really is, hoping to tack back to the middle in the Fall. Her problem is that she is not really associated with the word “Opportunity”. She certainly spends more time talking about entitlements than about economic actions. She has zero business or job-creation experience, and she is responsible for some of the worst Foreign Policy disasters in US history. She has played a key role in the diminished position of the US on the international stage. Trump is certain to make her life hell over the terrible events at Benghazi. Patriotic Americans are unlikely to forgive her for that fatal debacle and the manipulation of the truth thereafter.

Kasich sits in a limited zone on the horizontal line to the immediate right of the vertical, hoping the front-runners will somehow “crash and burn”. Cruz’s very Conservative agenda confines him to the far right of the top block. He has painted himself completely into a corner on the map. In these two statements we also find the reasons for their failure as candidates since the first edition of this article.

Bernie Sanders, rather than Hillary Clinton, is the clear counter to Donald Trump. While he has positions across the width of the map, he gets almost no traction with Black voters. Ironically, American Blacks mostly associate with the Establishment Clintons. By contrast, Sanders actually commands the “Trendy Lefty” segment, including Socialist oriented Millennials. Little can be more ironic than a 74-year old devout Cold War Socialist (1) from Vermont of all places and (2) leading a horde of iPhone wielding under-25s. He is the figurehead for “The 99%” and “Occupy Wall Street”.

So what?

The consequence of all this is that Trump has mapped himself onto a much larger portion of the present US Political Arena than most understand. This is why one sees the “Evangelicals” vote for him in masses and why thousands of Democrats above the horizontal line are re-registering as Republicans.

Some Black commentators refer to Trump’s base as “Angry White Men” and gleefully point out that there are not enough of them. So let us look at the numbers. According to the US Census Bureau there are 215 million voters in the US. 26 million of all races are aged between 18 and 24, these being Millennials. Of voters aged above 24 years, 136.5 million are whites, 22.5 million are Blacks, and 18 million are Hispanics.  The bureau reports that the 2012 presidential election saw only 65% of Whites register to vote and only 56.5% actually voted. I expect “Angry White Men” to be back with a vengeance and hell-bent on taking back their country. With no Black candidate remaining in the race, the turnout of that group will be significantly lower than the roughly 70% of the Obama years.

The grouping above the line is pointedly not exclusively White. It also includes Blacks, Hispanics and Asians who are actually TRYING to make the American Dream work, as opposed to rioting in the streets in an attempt to win an entitlement. All that stands between Trump and the most powerful office in the world, is his own mouth, and of course, any dirty play by the Establishment of the Republican Party. Should the Party Elders try that, I hereby promise them they will be responsible for the demise of the Republican Party.

The initial refusal of Paul Ryan, Republican Speaker of the House, to endorse Trump may also be understood on the above map. With the Socially Conservative Cruz out of the running, Ryan is trying to “hang tough” for Conservative principles and values in a race that has little to do with those. Americans basically want their country back, particularly red-blooded males. An Angry America, like Trump, is thinking along the vertical axis of the map. The horizontal axis of the map is not their primary concern at this time.

Clinton is yet to comprehend this. She is basically the socially liberal equivalent of the conservative Cruz, her natural opponent. I do not believe she is well positioned to win over Bernie Sanders supporters, especially if she does not comprehend the reality of this map. By rights and logic, it should be Sanders opposing Trump, but the Democrats are going to force Clinton on the voting public. That much is obvious, unless she is charged by the FBI. In that event, the Democrats will likely bring “Good ol’ Joe” Biden out of mothballs. With his “blue collar white” credentials he will try with some subtlety to reposition the Democrat effort for the White House to a more moderate  position above Sanders on the vertical axis.

All this tells me that, in the absence of Clinton being indicted, Donald Trump is going to win this election, unless his mouth gets in the way. The Democrats, for their part, had better pray Clinton gets indicted so Joe Biden can run.

I trust Americans will elect a president that will make the leading country of the Free World strong again. I have lost the country of my birth to the kind of forces that lurk in the Obama Administration. I have seen it thereby turned into a hell hole and dangerous laughing stock. I cannot stomach the destruction of Western Civilization one inch further.

My advice to Hillary Clinton? Dissociate yourself from Barack Obama as fast and as far as you can. Ordinary adult American men are mad as hell at what Barack Obama has done with their country, there are awfully many of them, and they talk to their wives.
